Lighthouse of Praise Ministries

Dan Layne came to Corsicana in 1999 to assume the full time duties
of pastor at Lighthouse of Praise. He had previously pastored in
several other communities as he taught and coached. He also
served as the school administrator for a Christian school for 11
years.
Pastor Dan serves the body at Lighthouse of Praise with a pastor's
heart by leading, teaching and protecting the members. The
Father's Love flows through him to everyone he meets. He is very
active in community affairs and has a heart for all. He works with
local ministers and ministerial alliances. His desire is to see a church
made up of people from all age and ethnic groups worshipping and
serving God together in unity.
Glenda serves as the Worship Coordinator. She has a heart for
worship which is evident in everything she does including oversight
of the Women's Ministry. She also can be found in the nursery
taking care of those young ones she loves so much. Glenda
currently works as a Registered Nurse at Navarro Regional Hospital.
Dan and Glenda work together for the purpose of equipping the
saints for doing the work of the ministry.
Pastor Dan is a member of the Federation of Ministers and
Churches, International. www.FMCI.org

Vision
Write the vision and make it plain. Hab. 2-2
I. See God's kingdom established in the Earth.
II. See Jesus glorified in His church.
III. See people transformed by the power of the Holy
Spirit.
What We Believe
1. The Bible is the inspired Word of God.
2. The Trinity consists of the Father, the Son and the
Holy Spirit.
3. Man fell by voluntary transgression and his only
hope of redemption is in Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
4. The salvation of man is by grace through faith by
which he becomes an heir of God in Christ Jesus
according to the hope of eternal life.
5. The ordinance of baptism by immersion should be
observed by all who have repented and truly believed in
their hearts on Christ as Savior and Lord.
6. The Lord's Supper is the symbolic sharing of the
divine nature of our Lord Jesus Christ, a memorial of
His suffering and death, a prophecy of His coming and
is enjoined on all believers.
7. The baptism of the Holy Ghost comes with the
endowment of power for life and service and the gifts of
the Spirit for use in the work of the ministry.
8. Entire sanctification is the will of God for all
believers and should be earnestly pursued by walking
in obedience to God's Word.
9. The church is the body of Christ, the habitation of
God through the Spirit, with divine appointments for the
fulfillment of her great commission.
10. The fivefold ministry of the Apostles, Prophets,
Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers has been provided
by our Lord for the evangelization of the world and the
equipping and edifying of the body of Christ.
11. Divine health, healing and deliverance from
demonization are provided in the atonement for all
believers.
12. The resurrection of those who have died and those
who remain until the second coming of Christ is the
blessed hope of the church.
We, whose names are in the Book of Life, look forward
to a new heaven and a new earth in which
righteousness dwells.
All others will be consigned to everlasting punishment
in the lake of fire.
